To be Eligible for IHP Medical and Dental, applicants must be:

  • Live in Ingham County
  • Not have or be eligible for health insurance (Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan (HMP), Medicare, Healthy Kids, MIChild, Commercial) or any other medical benefit, including employer-sponsored health insurance. Exceptions: You may have Medicaid Spend-down, and Emergency Services Only (ESO) Medicaid and still be eligible for IHP.
  • Meet income guidelines - yearly household income equal to or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. For a one person household this is $33,975 per year.

2) DUE TO COVID-19 SOME OF THE ENROLLMENT SITES ARE CLOSED TEMPORARILY BUT STAFF IS STILL AVAILABLE TO ASSIST. CALL SITE TO CHECK AVAILABILITY. You can complete an IN-PERSON interview with an Enrollment Specialist at various sites in Ingham County. You will need to bring proof of income and residency in Ingham County. You may be asked to provide proof that you have applied for Healthy Michigan Plan or were denied (if you appear eligible). Call the site first to check enrollment hours.
