The Ingham Health Plan is available to people living in Ingham County who are not eligible for any other health insurance (for example, Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace or Employer Insurance).
To qualify for Ingham Health Plan, your household income limit must be at or below 250% of the federal poverty level (FPL).
If you are not eligible for Medicaid due to citizenship status or over income, you should apply for Ingham Health Plan. People enrolled in Ingham Health Plan may also be eligible for Medicaid-Emergency Services Only (ESO), Spendown, Plan First or MOMS Medicaid.
1) You can enroll using ONLINE APPLICATION. Available in English & espanol. If you have questions about the online process you can email planmanagement@ihpmi.org.
2) You can complete an IN-PERSON interview with an Enrollment Specialist at various sites in Ingham County. **CALL SITE BEFORE VISITING TO CHECK AVAILABILITY. ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE MAY ONLY BE AVAILABLE AT SPECIFIC DAYS/TIMES OR MAY ONLY OFFER OVER-THE-PHONE ASSISTANCE. You will need to bring proof of income and residency in Ingham County. You may be asked to provide proof that you have applied for Healthy Michigan Plan or were denied (if you appear eligible).
